A Note About Our Designer

We are so honored to have worked with Mack Mercury (they/he) on developing and designing our new logo and brand.  They are amazing to work with, both professionally and personally - we highly recommend you reaching out to them for your business needs

We are constantly in motion…

From processing the world around us to focusing in on our own journeys, we show up as authentically as we know how in the moment and continue to explore and grow. This is true, not only for all of us as people, but as a business community too.

Through the years we have used many words, images, and symbols to define what we do at Complete Harmony STL Yoga for Youth. Beginning in 2016 with the flowing and transformative OM, to expanding out into the creative and fluid splash of watercolor you have seen throughout the years. Today, we’ve worked with many in our community to grow and focus on our path, and here enters our peacock feather.

Feather Only Transparent BGThe peacock feather has welcomed in so many fun and awe inspiring moments. Symbolic moments for us and the youth who explore with the feathers. Moments of discovery, movements of confidence, moments of connection. Connection within ourselves, from our brain to our body. Connection with each other, “Hey, look I can balance it on my elbow,” “Oh wow you’re doing it!”. Connection out into the world “How do we focus on one thing?” “What happens when we focus on one thing?”.

Connections that wire together - fire together.

The movement of the feather wisps reflect the movement of our bodies, mind, and soul. The fun and playfulness the feather brings as it dances around the room. The connection trauma-informed embodied movement and mindfulness has with our brain development and meeting youth where they are. The brain being the center of it all, the focus we hold on to, to support youth as they explore and develop coping skills that support their nervous system, connecting to their authentic self, and grow into the amazing humans they are. Our feather holds so much for us and our community - and now it stands as a visual for what we do and how we do it.

As we worked with Mack on designing, we also worked with others in the mental health and somatic services (who are also parents of youth we work with), a few words they shared about what they saw in the design are:

”Purple is a color of trust and is associated with creativity. I love that you use the peacock feather, and in Buddhism it symbolizes enlightenment…the nexus being used as the eye…it seems to be the nexus of the mind, body, and soul, as well as emphasis on the limbic/nervous system. It feels like the veins are meridians.”

”I love the feather so so much. The dendrites being so symmetrical it looks kinda more like a flower…”

What do you see when you look at the peacock feather? What do you feel? How does it feel in your body?  What happens when we connect our peacock feather to our five senses?

There is so much for us to explore as we are constantly in motion, changing every moment.

But the power we have within ourselves to focus - and what happens when we focus with others in a trusted space - that power can take us places in our world we may have never noticed before. Had we not connected with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

May we be happy, May we be healthy, May we feel safe.
